| The Rolling Stones break law smoking at stage
Legendary rock band The Rolling Stones broke the new law of Great Britain, concerning smoking ban in public places. Two members of the band smoke at the stage of London O2 Arena. However, the band managed to avoid heavy fine. Greenwich court decided to forgive inveterate smokers.
Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood smoke cigarettes during concert in former Millennium Dome. The maximum fine for smoking in public places, according to the law, is $5000. Press secretary of O2 Arena noted that one of the bands members was smoking indeed, but he put it out before appearing at the stage.
The representative of Greenwich court reported that they had not received any complaints from audiences. They reminded O2 direction about the necessity to keep the law. He also mentioned the moment when Richards with cigarette in his hand told the audience that the band passed the long way and they were glad to come back.
